Asado - Cooking style with
Spanish and Chinese influences. Pork is simmered in sauces and spices then thinly sliced.
Arroz Caldo
- Thick soup of Rice and Meat,
(usually chicken); similar to the Chinese congee.
Barbecue- Marinated meat
skewered with bamboo sticks and grilled. Dishes include: Barbecue Pork, Barbecue Chicken
and Korean Beef Barbecue.
Dinuguan - A special stew made
from Diced pork and entrails, simmered in Pork blood, Vinegar, and Spices including
Chili
peppers; as a Merienda, it is great when accompanied by Puto.
Lumpia - Filling is wrapped in
an Egg roll or Crepe wrapper; comes in the soft crepe variety and the deep fried crispy
variety.
Fresh Lumpia- A
delightful
mixture of Bean curd, Carrots, Heart of palm, and Turnips rolled up in a thin wrapper,
served with tangy garlic sauce.
Vegetarian Spring Rolls -
All-vegetable deep-fried Spring rolls.
Lumpiang Shanghai - Small,
finger size Spring rolls filled with Shrimps, Meat, Garlic, and Spices, and deep fried to
a crisp golden brown roll. It is served with a Sweet-sour sauce.
Pancit Palabok
- White fine noodles topped with
Palabok sauce and Sauteed pork, Vegetables, Spices, and garnished with
Green onions, Boiled eggs, Flakes of smoked fish
(tinapa), and Ground chicharon (fried pork rind).
Sotanghon
Guisado - Fine glass noodles made from Mungbeans topped with
Vegetables, Green
onions, and Eggs.
